Ice Cream

Tonight after dinner I decide that we needed a treat. Most nights we wait until the boys go to bed to have a treat, but they have been good this week so we decide to go to Dairy Queen for ice cream. We got our ice cream to go. We live like two minutes from DQ. Then we let the boys wild in the back yard with the ice cream. These are just a few pictures of the fun Jacob had with his ice cream cone. He actually held in so tight that it broke and melted all over his hands.

Beach trip

Last weekend we decide to have a family day at beach. So we drove to our new favorite spot the outer banks. The boys loved it. We took a picnic lunch and just a had a great day together. We got to the beach at about 9:30 and didn't leave until 2pm. It took a little convincing to get them into the car, but Jacob was asleep in five minutes. All Jacob talks about is the beach and he asks every day if we are going to the beach.

Riding Bikes

Most evening or in the mornings we have been out riding our bikes. Justin loves to ride his and its a great way for him to burn a little energy off. Jacob loves to ride in the bike trailer. So one evening we decide to see if Justin was ready to ride is bike with no training wheels. He did good. He just needs a little more confidence to be able to ride alone. Jacob is just working on peddling his bike. He really likes it when mommy does all the work. :-)

Update

So here's a little update for everyone on how we are doing.

We are loving North Carolina. The humidity isn't very fun but we are adjusting to it. The bugs, what can I say about the bugs. There's lots of them. Ugly ones, small ones, big ones, biting bugs, stinging bugs, just lots of bugs.

Justin is doing well. He has stopped taking naps. Oh my. I am adjusting to life with out a nap. He is as busy as ever. He is always talking and talking. He loves to make up story's about things. The kid just goes on about everything. He is looking forward to preschool, as long as I can find one.

Jacob, man we moved and he just decide to become a big boy. He is potty training. He started on his own and I just jumped in to help him along the way. He has mostly stopped using sippy cups. He is talking more. He is a sweet heart. Jacob, does a have a hernia in his groin that we are having fixed on August 18th. What adventure that one is going to be. Jacob is just so full of life. Both boys love it here. They like all the playing outside that they can do. The love to talk with the neighbors and wave to all the neighbors.

Red and I are doing great. We have our rough spots but after moving 3,000 miles who doesn't. Red is back to work and getting into the way of it. I am settling back down into my routine with the boys. We have found a small church that we like.

Our new home

Master bedroom and guest bedroom. Jacob was sleeping so I didn't take a picture of the boys room

Messy living room
Formal dinning room and eat in kitchen. We don't eat in the kitchen since we don't have an extra table.

Entry way
Front of our house
"A house is built of boards and home is built of love"

So here are a few pictures of our new house in NC. We love it. We love the neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly we have had most of our neighbors come over and introduce themselves one even brought us brownies. A great neighborhood to raise our family in. Enjoy the pictures.

Knights in Shining Foam

Thanks GG. We love you

When we went to Lego land in April we bought the boys foam swords and of coarse them love them. Well my parents were going to go with my sister to Lego land land and we asked if they would get the boys the Shields. My mom went and got them them the shields and the helmets. It was so fun for them to get a package from GG after getting back here. They love playing knights. I am not really sure they know that they are playing knights, I just know that they love to beat up on the beast Daddy.

Red's New Love

Red's new 1985 CJ 7

As soon as we got back here to North Carolina Red started looking for a new car. Now I was thinking a car and Red was thinking Jeep. He came to me with two choices. That were within our budget. We put aside money from moving and before moving for the car. Both choices were Jeeps. The first one he didn't like at all. The second was his new love. We tried to and look at it but went to the wrong house then the guy said no I think I am going to trade it. Then called us back on Friday if we wanted to look at it. I think it was love at first sight. He looked and looked then called his dad then asked me. Then asked me again and looked some more. We made an offer the guy said I will call you. Not five minutes later we had a new jeep. Red even got up the first morning to go outside and check on it. It's the new love of his life. Last night he was like "Can you put the kids to bed so that I can go work on the jeep". Oh how I love these days. He did putthe kids to put and work on the jeep. The boys love the jeep. All Jacob says is BEACH Beach meaning Jeep Jeep.

4th of July

This year for the fourth we spent most of it at home just settling in. We did buy some fireworks for the boys. We were going to go down to the water front and watch fireworks but Justin up and decide that he no longer likes fireworks and we didn't go. Enjoy the pictures.
